Canal Days International Kite Show Saturday July 30 2016
This event has been moved to the Saturday ,a bit of a change from past years.  The field will be divided into single line kites and a demo field.  Access to the field will be restricted to registered signed in flyers.  So please get a wrist band at the Kite Flyer Registration Booth.  Areas to the north of the designated  field can be used for the public and they are encouraged to fly there.
Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival is a City of Port Colborne celebration. The Niagara Windriders Kitefliers Association is involved in the planning and operation of this Kite Festival event .The club plays an important role in bringing the artistry, science, technology, and skill of kiting to the attention of the general public.

For more information on this four day city-wide, annual Canal Days Festival and for directions to Port Colborne, ON visit the city of Port Colborne's web site. The city festival was started in 1978 by the Port Colborne Historical and Marine Museum to celebrate Port Colborne's maritime heritage in Great Lakes shipping and our connection to the Welland Canal. The full festival now includes activities along historic West Street by the Welland Canal, ship tours, entertainment, an arts festival, children's events, an auto show, and the Kite Festival. Over 80,000 visitors annually attend the events during the four days that the festival runs.

Schedule for Saturday:  The field should be ready to use by 10 am.  Official startup 1pm.

A Kite Flyer thank you  will be held at 5 pm in the field picnic shelter.  Its a great time to kick back and reflect on the day with our Kiting Friends.

Night Fly:  This will be held at dusk Saturday July 30 2016.  Music and lights will help set the mood.

Fun Fly Sunday July 31 2015. - An area at HH Knoll Park will be left open for kites at the Car Show.
